Exotic and gritty, exhilarating and utterly gripping, Cassandra Clare’s ferociously entertaining fantasy takes readers on a wild ride that they will never want to end.
At a club called Pandemonium, fifteen year old Clary Fray witness a murder committed by three teenagers coverd with tattoos and weapons. Clary Fray, raised by her mother, with the help of Luke (mother’s friend), she turned out to be any other ordinary teenage girl. Confident, snarky, but yet a good girl. She usually never disobeys her mother, and has a best friend named Simon. Clary can sometimes be annoying and stupid, even act like a child, but through the book she kinda grows on you. You get to see her go from an weak little girl mundane to a strong shadowhunter with great powers.
Enter Jace Wayland, a way to confident, arrogant teenage boy who’s not afraid to die. He jumps at the chance to fight, and he never backs out of a fight. Raised by the Lightwood family, he sees Alex Lightwood and Isabelle as brother and sister, yet he still doesn’t care enough about himself to stay out of danger..That is until Clary. Finally he has found something worth living for. He couldn’t have found someone less complicated though. Being with Clary makes him feel alive, but the danger Clary brings….
I love this book. It’s a bit hard to get in to the book when you start reading it, but once you’ve read a couple of chapters, it get’s easier. You get to read from Clary’s, Simon’s, Jace’s, Alec’s point of view, so it’s sometimes difficult to follow who and where.. Other then that the book had a great story, and awesome characters. Full of action, love, hope, and friendship. This book is worth reading! Cassandra Clare is an great writer, and she keeps her readers well satisfied.
